Dry day so far but wet and windy is forecast.
Bins put out on Monday have been emptied. They must be working a nightshift as I heard nothing and only noticed when I looked out this morning.
Calmac always looms over us and they have amended the timetable at the beginning of January when I hope to be heading home after a week away. Not got any emails from them so hopefully my bookings are not affected.
Not Calmac for a change but Corran Ferry appears to be off but there is no reason given. There was an interruption a couple of days ago so probably something has broken.
This is part of my emergency route off or on the island and if not in service means a 30mile extra detour via Fort William to add on to the 80 miles if this ferry is running.

Good morning from a fifth floor hotel room in Nottingham. Coffees and breakfast have been had in Wetherspooons as it's cheaper than this hotel's option and there's one just a minute's walk away.

A grey, gloomy and damp underfoot morning here and I've got about 20 minutes to rest before it's time to head to the rail station for home.

I hear ya, but sometimes it's just more convenient to run down to the lobby then back up to my room. but after a day of that I get more adventurous

I know trampolining is popular amongst CC members. Hope you’ve tied down your trampolines.

So if half of the vehicles are grey to begin with and the other half are yellow what colour goes on which vehicle ?

Eh?

If the maintenance company wants to know the effect of hi viz, the way to go about it is to paint half the fleet in hi viz, and the other half in something like grey, then in due course they'll find out which group has the higher accident rate. Without a control group there's no experiment.

WAH morning with both work laptops in use as I found yesterday a drive that had something on it I wanted was not visible on W11. So the W10 one spend a good hour + copying three folders to SharePoint, rather than waiting for management to set up a project to work out what to do.
Lunchtime blood test could be the most exciting thing this afternoon as I am on table 20.of around 50 of a departmental "conference".
