The joys of setting up my new laptop are in hand..
Pre installed W11 now has Ubuntu dual-boot sorted & running well.
Happily, I could save my Brave bookmarks from the old laptop & import them to Firefox. Now the fun is cookies, passwords, logins etc.

Get a password manager such as Proton Pass. Then the above issues go away.
Worth a look but I already have Surfshark that has a password manager, too.

Then why the fun if you can just install surf shark and have it download all your passwords back in place? No work really required?
So does Firefox
Pitch black and pouring down at 4 and felt sorry for two cyclists getting a real soaking. My coat from a short exposure to the rain is is somewhat saturated in places.

Heavy rain showers but not yet windy.
A neighbour has taken a day off work to put up Christmas decorations. With short intervals to avoid the worst weather I think he has now finished.
I think it is hideous but I would never criticise as he is always ready to help the aged and infirm.
First Christmas card from an old school friend who sends out an annual report which is handy as I know he is still alive so I feel safe in responding.
This is always a problem as you get older and in the past we stopped sending ones if we got no reply on the assumption that they have probably died and the family have not bothered telling people other than immediate family.
Knackered as I never seemed to stop working on chores all day.
Slightly to my surprise I got the iPad connected to my printer but no real idea how I managed it. The printer has not been used for ages but printed what I wanted with no drama from clogged up print heads.

It's been a grey and mild day here chez Casa Reynard after plenty of rain overnight. It is now raining again.
Slept ok-ish. Spent the morning squelching around the garden picking up and moving a pile of clippings that need to go into the green bin. Speaking of green bin, mine was emptied this morning - which means that the guys on the van got their Christmas Box. Well, a card and a nice box of biskits.
This afternoon was spent doing things like making soup, checking my apple store and rejigging fridges. And I split out the Christmas shopping into "stuff for me" and "stuff for gifts".
A quiet evening spent writing is planned.
