I just had to go and pick up my car from Greenwich and the car's thermometer was reading 19C when I got in it. (No sunshine to boost that reading.)

That's today's work done - all seven bikes cleaned & lubricated.
Lunch of coffee and a toasted bagel is currently being had and, as it's still dry and there's still plenty of daylight left, I think I'll head out for a stroll shortly. Way too breezy for a bike ride.

What do you say to people when you do not know what to say?
My Niece's husband is very seriously ill in hospital. The prognosis does not look good. What can I say to my Brother and my Sister-in-law? Fortunately my Niece lives almost next door to her Father. She has two young children, one of whom has recently been diagnosed with Autism.
If I meet people in person, something might occur to me that I could say, On the telephone, to me it is a completely different scenario.

Just popped up the garden to get some herbs for tonight's roast, and it feels warmer outside than indoors!
A truly horrible day, very stormy, occasionally sunny but often torrential rain.
A responded to an SOS call as Dad had replaced the battery in his van and then the radio wouldn't work as it had lost the code so I had to go home to sort it out. No record of the code to be found anywhere but I discovered a website where I could put in the serial number of Ford radios and get the code. Had to remove the radio to get the serial number from the label, which was more straightforward than i thought it will be. I hate taking modern dashboards apart. Radio now restored to working order and code noted for future reference.
One wonders what is the point of a security code on a radio if you can just Google to get the code. 🤔 I don't think my Toyota has a security code on the radio.
Someone had parked their boyracer special MkV Golf on its roof and done a considerable amount of damage to both the car and the hedgerow in the process. I hope nobody was hurt but that is one more VAG smoke generator off the road!
I will be going to the theatre later.
