Do you still look at 40-50 year old slides, and have you formed any opinions about which brands survive best? I'm tempted to think that Agfa aren't faring as well compared to Fuji & Kodachrome.

I will put my oar in here, being a bit older. I used Kodachrome 25 for originals, and E-6 process slides like Ekta chrome for projection, as that was what Kodak recommended. Agfachrome was the best at rendering neutral tones, and Fujichrome gave a nice warm look to the world. Kodachrome was an early dye coupled film, and had to be processed by Kodak. Very very picky about development. Could enlarge those things as much as you wanted and not see grain, though. E-6 I could develop at home in a water bath to keep temperature constant.

Had a really bad flare of osteo arthritis today resulting in waking up really tired and achy in hips, ankles, shoulders, knuckles and fingers. 4 ibrufen and a Naproxen taken today to even just get it to numb down a bit. 2 hour sleep after lunch, napped this evening....
Motorcycle rider accident round the corner, I dont know any details but air ambulance seen landing and taking off, hope he/she is OK.

Ferrania, hands down, no doubt. I did cave photography. Multi flash and long exposure to get depth. Stuff from mid 60's
Also rock and ice.

No wonder I've got rheumatism and clapped out joints.
