Got the weather all wrong today and it ended up nice and sunny tho' still a cold wind. Looking out the harbour is quite still but out in the Sound it looks decidedly lumpy.
Surgery visit all done and a routine health check done as well as bloods. Blood pressure is noted as ok which always surprises me as it was always a bit too high until a couple of years ago when it seemed to stabilise.
Nice chat with Debbie who has been sticking needles in me regularly for at least ten years apart from short times she was off on maternity leave. Greets me like an old friend and remembers what we talked about on my last visit.
If I have trouble with transport to hospital in Glasgow they will put pressure on the appropriate department which helps.
Remembering about people and previous conversations of course is not a good memory but a good filing system. I got the tip from a rep. friend and we also kept written details about our wholesale customers and their personal foibles.
The restaurant we patronised on our annual trip to Aviemore Trade Fair clearly did and we were greeted by name and pulled out of the queue waiting outside and escorted to a good table with drinks appearing on the table before ordering.
A good tip at the end of our 3 or 4 day visit also helped.

I've gone back to not drinking alcohol during the week* makes Friday a day to look forwards to.

I took my sister-in-law to Heathrow airport from Greenwich today. The 69 mile route on the M25 took 1 hours 34 minutes. The direct route of 26 miles for the return run took 2 hours 6 minutes.

Time for a good long shower then off into the city for Amyl and the Sniffers at NX.
Another working day over and only another five hours to work tomorrow.

Weekend arrives early, have tomorrow off
Miserable dull and drizzly morning and a work visit to Masham. 45 minutes left, 40 back and around 15 spent there. Still needs must. Four cyclists and one horse rider passed all looking well waterproofed, on the outside at least.
