Sainsbury's shopped and a touch more bought than if I had gone by the ebike. Cheap milk enough to last beyond the middle of the month and they had switched on at last and filled the new Freeform fridge and freezer. For once had stacks of Mackerel fillets so two packs bought conveniently at a reduced personal Nectar price.

I have been fed - ham, leek & cheese bake*, mashed potatoes and steamed green beans.
* a 3-cheese sauce made with a combo of very mature stilton, mature cheddar and some rather splooty mozzarella. Oh, and a dollop of mustard. Probably one of the best cheese sauces I've ever made.

Ended up in Cambridge and did a 50 mile route up to Ely and back that I've not done before - and never will again as my chosen (on road) route from Swaffham Prior to Soham via Upware would have challenged a full suspension mountain bike. Could hear low flying military aircraft buzzing around from Mildenhall, but couldn't see them due to the low cloud cover.
My reward when I got home was a hot shower followed by a lovely smoked gammon steak and potatoes washed down by a bottle of Harpers IPA from Aldi.

And it's why i took my 'sturdy' bike (see below) rather than a road bike, but it still didn't stop parts of me taking a pounding and the vibrations causing my fingers to go numb at times. Great Drove towards Upware had bigger bumps than a BMX track
One piece of good news I missed as the email dropped into my junk folder - Greater Anglia have admitted they made a mistake on a delay repay claim last month and have coughed up another fiver.

Very stormy here this election day. Rain and wind. Internut outage. I bought a nice frozen lasagne at the store, and am baking it now.
