@Biggs - I hope you have had time in your busy week to practice your prancing dancing.

I have decided that three million feathers on the hem of my skirt makes it very difficult to keep my balance. This week will be a more stream-lined outfit.

I have done some tinsel toe practice moves but alas I fear not enough.

I will look forward to seeing your costume 😄

I've only ever bought one suit in my life, and that was nearly 37 years ago for my grandma's funeral. It gets so little use it's still in mint condition, but I must have been heavier then because it always feels too big round the waist whenever I put it on.

Similar here but it was bought for my sister's wedding about the same time, change of tie and it does funerals too.

Halloween party tonight. the wig is absolutely ridiculous. & the t-shirt was ridiculously too small. thank good ness for halloween pop-up shops for a bigger shirt, fringe vest & peace necklace. still need to make a protest sign "Make Love not War"

Sainsbury's were typically sold out of makerel fillets on Thursday so decided to see if they had any today.
The wonders of autumn cycling kicked in with a strange noise from the rear wheel. Somehow a thin branch had got between the wheel and mudguard but also threaded its way through the pannier framework. Then an annoying what seemed like a left hook until I studied the video post ride and I had caught up with them rather than being overtaken
Can't see much to gain in lodging it as it will no doubt be classed 50-50.
Sainsbury's did have all of two packs of mackerel fillets, being well stocked is not something that seems to exist on this line. Left the other pack for someone else.
£5 Nectar cashback used so a smidge under £3 for also custard creams, lemon juice, ceasar dressing and a tube of toothpaste.

Just learnt both the Spar knot and Constrictor Knot. Not so different from the Clove Hitch knot but more secure for my use case.

It's been largely a grey and drizzly day here chez Casa Reynard, though now the sun is sort of poking through the cloud.

Did not sleep well on account of the tapdancing heffalumps that also led to multiple trips to the little girls' room during the night, ergo I have been taking things easy today. Although I did spend the morning doing some cooking, and there is now a very nice ragu for pasta simmering away in the crock pot. I can't get guanciale or unsliced pancetta here, but the smoked cooked bacon from the Polish aisle is a good substitute. It doesn't half smell good!

I saved some of the pork mince for Madam Lexi's tea. She is currently asleep next to me bless her. She had some fun earlier, playing with some toys in her pop-up play cube. It's actually kind of funny to see the cube perambulating around the sitting room with the cat inside.

Am debating whether to have a nice girly pamper session in a bit.
