Here again, just as loud and just as corny. Hover and I are roughing out the plot of a soft porn novel, about a couple of Randy museum workers who tour the country, having ”biblical“ knowledge in various very large* museum objects. I do hope our amateur Oscar Wildes can hear us.

*Official definition: over 4 tons.

Theory or Practical? 🤔

Just point out that they're breaking the law.
That'll mean the library staff have something to work with.

I was wondering why there wasn't a back up system, there should have been.

Apparently there is a back up system that can last four hours, and the problem is usually fixed in that four hours.

I wonder if they waited four hours before starting to try to work it all out manually. They would have a got ahead of the problem, possibly.

You would think that the Air Traffic Control at Swanick would have a backup system ? Perhaps a chap standing on the roof directing planes with a pair of table tennis bats .

A backup system doesn't help when the problem is what is coming in. At a guess from what has been said, something was input that passed the sanity check but broke the system. The "Robert '); Drop Table" problem.

Would suggest the issue would be a back up system would need massive updating with all the flights ongoing and the problem could have arisen with that if the same wrong data was entered.

They're usually updated concurrently, hence the same input kills both.

Wrapping a Waterford crystal vase for my wife for our 15th wedding anniversary tomorrow, listening to this… 😁

Jo is delighted with the vase - now looking forward to a night out this evening (sans enfants, since my parents are kindly looking after them this week).

Turned out a much nicer day than I expected so got out on the trike for a nice run. Several couples all out cycling as well and not too much vehicle traffic.

Astonished as I ordered something from Amazon on Monday which I was told would be delivered Friday. My door has just banged shut and the parcel has arrived by Royal Mail.

After putting the trike back in my car I noticed a small bracket on the floor beside my right hand rear wheel. Cannot see anything amiss and there is nothing similar on the other side. It looks like a retainer possibly for cables but it is completely unmarked. Need to have another check tomorrow. There is a track pump there as well and I just finished topping up all the tyres but nothing missing on that. It has nothing to do with the car either.
A photo is enclosed and any sensible suggestions checked.
