This isn't the Tea thread you know!;)

No, but thermos flasks are pretty mundane.
its a whole world out there. I have 2 fantastic ones that I can rant on about for hours... one is over 25 years old and has been amazing. never had one like it and I guess I will never have one like it again. I do have a much younger one we bought for going around the world, it weighs a tad less and is almost as good. weight to heat retention it is better because it is significantly lighter....
then there is a much cheaper one, tescos job when we realised we had gone away without one one time and it is useless... can't keep water hot for more than a couple of hours even with preheating....
shall I rant on a touch more about them... I went through hundreds of them as a kid... I can tell you about the time that for the first time ever I managed to get to the end of a hike and the flask was still unbroken and my step-father picked up my rucksack and through it in the back of the estate car and all of us heard it break! or the flask we found up a mountain in Ireland and the contents were still hot but there was not a sole on that island with us....

We were both up and about before 7 this morning

Anyway, hand washing is done and on the line, first lot in the washer is almost done and the next lot will go in after. The laundry basket is still full, there are only 2 of us in this house right

He's road testing a NASA sponsored design of flask. The designers claim that it will keep the contents hot for a fortnight.
