Someone has tried to pay £7800 out of my bank account

As if they think I've that much in there

Be lucky to get £78 out of mine! Bit worrying though. Next door neighbour had something similar a couple of years ago and it was actually a payment to Chain Reaction Cycles so whoever was up to no good must have fancied a new bike!

As if they think I've that much in there

My family have just found a bank account of a (recently late) family member's because someone tried to set up internet banking on it. Guess they thought they had left it long enough after the death to get away with it... good thing all internet banking setup requests get sent to the home address by default. The account held more than a 1/3rd of the value of the house in it!

Mind you it leaves me wondering where all the bank statements were in the house and how thoroughly family have gone through said house to have missed the account in the first place...

I'm about to start a race around the loch with my OH. He has to go up to the station as well, have coffee and cake at the café there (with proof) and then catch me up cycling around the loch. Rules have been set. There are 2 comps and both start and finish at the bottom of the track. The first comp is on total ride time, the second on actual time taken.

I may have to stop taking quite so many photos if I am to stand a chance!
I have to do 23 miles, he has to do 34 miles and have coffee and cake at a café.

I'm not sure this is a fair competition!

The council have just replaced the parking restrictions sign outside the office window with a smaller version which says the exact same thing.

Nice to know they make good use of my taxes.
