What was it? I might try and avoid watching it
Ronin... wasn't worth it. watched 3 yesterday and they were all very good. this one was OK. I did nearly fall asleep but think that has more to do with the side effects from the increase in my nerve pain meds (they were tripled and I am still getting used to it - so dizzy head and very foggy until I do) and a dose of morphine!

Do I need to get the spray plaster out?

Do you have a good tinterwebs connection thingy on something that you can watch stuff on?

yep, thankfully. but I only have Netflix available to me upstairs (or DVD's on the laptop).

If I go downstairs I am there to stay until my husband gets home because I have to throw the pillows & cushions downstairs and then try to get them into the sitting room to sit in front of the TV which has BT Vision (full package). once down I am down because I can only lie down in the partially upright position that I am now (at about 40 degrees with most of the weight not on my spine if that makes sense). I can't sit up at all. Upstairs is more comfortable because I use the bed; downstairs I have to use the floor on one of our camping mats and I need help getting back up off the floor!

Back in December, 1 month in to this, and knowing what I faced etc, we upgraded the broadband to fibre (we get a stunning 12mbs but it is enough for SD films to be played wirelessly) and signed up to another period of BT Vision entertainment. The package was cheaper than what we were paying previously and my brother has purchased me Netflix for a year as my joint birthday Christmas present to help out!

We also, purchased a sony tablet to make life a touch easier for me as well - it is easier to use the tablet than a laptop in the position I can lie in.

When I'm a bit woozy and wobbly from the MS and feeling like sleep is never far away I turn to radio and podcasts. I can drift in and out of radio programmes as they go along or restart a podcast from where I left it if it was interesting, there's loads out there. Films and TV and reading sometimes are too much concentration and need your eyes open!

yep _- I know that feeling... last night I got a grand total of 2hrs 15 mins light sleep according to the thingy my OH bought me for Christmas... there is something about morphine that stops me sleeping at night... I suspect I will be having a doze soon! probably during the next film!

Think that is all currently!

So you've decided. Must try to work out what inners OH & I need, we haven't even got repair kits. Mind you, there's a bike shop in our road.

Have you thought of book recordings? I know of someone who uses his Kindle to play the books into a computer so he can listen on his ipod.

decided on the trike or the breakdown cover.

the breakdown cover seems sensible. I can't see how I will be able to repair a flat myself. I won't be able to lift the bike at all - I can't lift 1/2 a glass of water without pain, so lift a trike to take the wheel off and lifting the wheel is most likely beyond me. also sitting on the ground and getting back up again is also rather difficult, so it seems like a very good idea to me because I will be on my own most of the time I'm out. I have no one I can cycle with during the day....

books could be an idea... I shall think on it - thank youl

I haven't been downstairs for 2 days.
sometimes I know the feeling.

Mine is I haven't been more than 500m from the house well, for nearly 4 weeks now, prior to that was... well I have only left the immediate vicinity of the house 4 times since my back went and that was on the 5th November so... 4 times in 4 months... and then only on a stretcher!

My parents have been to see me twice. My in-laws have been 4 times. The older of my brothers who lives in Ilford has been 3 times and is due again this Saturday, my other brother and sister (who lives within cycling distance) haven't been at all... and in that time it has been Christmas, my wedding anniversary and my birthday...

I picked my granddaughter up from school this afternoon. Whilst waiting, two girls from the nearby college were attempting to cross the busy road for at least 10 minutes.

I wonder why they didn't use the footbridge they were standing right next to!!! :banghead:
