I have been getting some practice at changing tyres/tubes, after the exploding one last week the 'new' one was losing more air than it should over the course of a few days so has just been replaced by another new one.
Investigations are not revealing any leaks so I will have to get the bucket of water ready.

My tyres are 28c and the new tube is rated for 23-25c so it could go bang later I like to live dangerously

Me and tyres are not the best of friends at the moment.... (And that's an understatement). Puncture fairy visited today (they obviously had been spying on the LBS, seen that I had bought a new tyre at the weekend but failed to fit it (I had planned to do tomorrow), and decided I should get my comeuppance! So lots of swearing, kind passerby who helped and then further punctures.... Not my day, I decided to call in international rescue to get me home, and go back to plan A of replacing it tomorrow when I have the day off!
