I could short circuit my school's dress code by wearing my kilt, Argyle kilt jacket and waistcoat, ghillie brogues and kilt hose and claiming that it's ethnic dress and if they quibbled over the non black black kilt, I'd point out that it's Blackwatch and if they protested further, I'd buy a black kilt just for spite.

I'm quite smitten by the modern hunting tartan. It would hide pie juice stains better than the others.

I have just finished the last dribble of a bottle of Argentinian Malbec whilst watching Beck.

The wine was very nice and as usual Scandinavia has come up trumps on the drama and male totty front.

Can someone from the mundane news thread please confirm that my oh's plan to meet me on the other side of the loch won't work. He thinks if we set out together and he rides at twice my speed (which he does) and does 2 laps of the loch for my 1, we will meet for lunch on the other side of the loch at what is my normal half way point. I should point out that he carries lunch normally.

I think he needs to be cycling at three times my average which I know he can't manage. I also think it would be wise for me to carry my own lunch!

Can someone please settle this "Monday with no lunch" before I have to prove the point my going without lunch? Thanks...

PS I know it's a hard one for a Sunday night on the mundane thread...

If he does 2 laps and you do one, you'll meet up where you started off. You may as well leave the lunch behind because you'll be back where you started.

I visited the middle child to take supplies.... Boil in the bag rice (yes I know it's more expensive but they have worked out they can cook this.... We will work our way up to measuring the stuff out of a bag a bit later), fresh bread, pesto and cake and other bits!
