I have been doing the twice-yearly carpet clean today, in advance of next week's State Visit from my son, my d-i-l, and their young family who live in Canada.
I've been less tired after an imperial century...... But the carpets are 'clean' (in that there'd be less dog hair and sand in the carpets if I did them again tomorrow).

Been painting the outside doors this week too - so no bike miles this week as yet.

my brother is celebrating getting on to a motorbike rider awareness course. He has been trying to buy a place on the course for the last couple of years. He got stopped for speeding today, got given a choice - fine or the same course. He's happy!
