I'm going to my shed to get a block of balsa and carve off everything that isn't a propellor.

I've finished carving. The propeller is resting on a block of balsa that is the same size as the one I carved the propeller from. The prop is 14" diameter.

I have a -15 registration Seat Alhambra sat on my drive, so the neighbours think I've come into some money.

I haven't. It's a hire car, ours only till our actual car is repaired after being crashed into on Friday.

It has sliding rear doors and ambient climate control.

Oh, and I haven't been able to drive it, having been for a meal to celebrate a colleague's 30-year work anniversary and put away pretty much a full bottle of Sauvignon Blanc whilst so doing. The frightening thing is that I don't feel even the slightest bit tipsy.

As I said, I feel completely sober. I've actually just had a small bottle of lager too.

I bet I have a terrific hangover in the morning, however.

Yep, a Ron Warring Voodoo vintage Wakefield. I fancied some heavy duty balsa butchery as a distraction from finishing off some powered free flight and control line airframes.
