We live near a railway line... its behind the houses on the other side of the road..... mainly intercity things or small commuters.... but the odd steam train:okay: and in summer when windows open...you really notice the long rumbling frieght trains in the middle of the night:gun: hopefully moving in a month or two.....one of the houses we looked at had the same line as us at the bottom of a very short garden.....

The woman said don't worry you soon get used to the trains..... I said "don't worry we already are....." whilst thinking not flipping close to my house though:ohmy:.... we are hopefully buying one no where near a line...

Where abouts are you?? I.e. what line??

I have never had any expeience of Golden Barbs though (mainly goldfish and small fish like Zebra Danioa and a Plec) so maybe they require/can endure different water conditions to what I am used to, but, still, 4 days??
We'll see what happens to her replacement. If nothing else we can always cake them in olive oil and salt, and pretend they're anchovies.

What kind of plec did you have?
