Its an attempt to find a colour that attracts fewer bird strikes and a little easier to get rid off, once used.

that would explain why i hadn't heard of it, a lot of farmers these days try to get the bales back to the yard or wherever they are to be stacked and into a stack a quick as possible so they can then cover the whole stack with that heavy green plastic netting like commonly used on silage clamps over the black clamping plastic, the green netting is there purely to protect from bird damage

How are the pink ones faring, sofar. Plastic not stretching as much, so that stretch holes appear?

My forte is mice not rats, not that I'm not very good with the little mousyfeckers. The terraced house next door is being gutted. This usually causes a mass exodus of tiny pink feet to the neighbouring properties but this time it hasn't. I still have about thirty quid's worth of (largely useless) poison in the cupboard, and half a dozen Advanced Mouse Traps.
They will be back.....

no problems, the pink seem to be just as good as the black in terms or durability but they just look cooler
