Ive just turned the dishwasher on for the first time after the electrician replaced the burnt plug.

In order to get to the plug they disconnected the dishwasher water supply. They reconnected it after.

Its now making a very funny noise in the water pipes so i have turned them off.

Arghhhhhh that means more time off work to let the numpties in to put it right.

I have just had pasta and grated cheese with baked beans.

It was meant to be macaroni but i have run out so it was spaghetti instead.

I believe in fairness of trial. I think its only fair to ensure they are 12 good men and true to their gingerbread roots.

Is it just air that will eventually clear? Perhaps if you run one of the taps in the sink?

The taps have been used numerous time since. It does sound like air.

As @User14044 says - probably water hammer. Run the dishwasher and if you get the noise, turn on a tap (cold probably) near the dishwasher and the noise may well go away. For now.... I've got the same problem after I changed the washers on a loo. Was fine before, now it's not.
