Still sober (but I normally am on weekdays) and I am acknowledging that I need help with my cake and chocolate addition! Which are far more ingrained that I imagined!

Oops.

I, however, did not. Idiot Dog woke me up at five o'clock. And again at ten past. And quarter past. So I let her out into the garden, then went back to bed. She stick her nose in my face a few minutes later, then again and again until I gave in and fed her at twenty to six. Not amused.

I have awoken to the sound of the fog horn blaring. I can only assume it's foggy out there.

I'm not a regular contributor to this thread, but I thought I'd share something I posted to fb this morning ....

Melbourne, you've gone too far this time. I don't mind the huge "friendly" huntsman spiders that move into your house when it looks like rain, I don't mind the slightly deadly redbacks, the necrosis inducing white tails, the deadly summer sun, the bull ants, the poisonous octopuses etc etc

But today was the last straw: I picked up the camera, which had been sitting near some things that had been sitting untouched in a cupboard for 2 years. I put the camera to my eye, found the battery was flat to pulled it away to look at it. The black on the top of the camera was moving!

OMG! I JUST PUSHED MY FACE INTO A COCKROACH!

Half day today, then off to Nottingham for tapas and a recital at the Nottingham Contemporary Gallery.
