It's a 21st birthday weekend for Miss K.
I'm cooking Sunday lunch, roast pork, cracking, roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings (I've been a 'Northerner' long enough to get the fact that it doesn't just go with beef!), parsnips, carrots, baby leeks, beans from the garden and gravy. Just about to start the filling for the lemon meringue pie then make the crumble mix for the apple and blackberry crumble. And yes there will be custard!
Yesterday we had a lovely afternoon of cake and champagne with family and friends then dinner out last night.
Mr K is driving her back to Birmingham with her bike, extra mattress topper and other paraphernalia that got left behind a month ago.

Happy Birthday Miss K!

We've just done the drop stuff left behind when Middle Summerling went to uni including the airer and wellies!

Now heading further north to the mother in Law!

Ordered some Kool Stop Salmon canti pads for the old skool MTB. I'm out with resident nutter Skolly on the MTB at LLandegla next month. The intention is to take the modern MTB, but I thought I need better stopping power than the current Ritchey blue (extreme) pads - they are that hard you don't stop.

The old MTB is coming home today from the caravan so I can get out in the dark evenings on the TPT and canal, and having better stopping ability, might save me from a trip to A&E again. The difference between high end hydraulic discs and old canti brakes is staggering.

It is finally public, Gary Delaney is playing my pub next month. Him off Mock the Week and Sarah Millican's husband is doing my pub, and we have tickets for us and our friends. Gary feckin Delaney, the funniest bloke touring is coming to my street. So very very chuffed. #boastpost.
Never heard oh him, and I know everything about anything funny
Could someone tell @potsy that it's :sun::sun::sun: here?

Can't tell him at the moment, he's out on his bike.

Just dropped Mrs P off at work, I am now considering hoovering the car with my new Henry attachments, though I will ponder that for a bit longer first.

Very large puddles (no offence) out there, I think we must have had a drop of rain overnight

A record of three little birdies on my feeder earlier, not quick enough to get the camera out unfortunately, the word is spreading ^_^

:sun: here now, and getting some gardening done.
So far planted two dog roses, hacked back a buddleai (or however you spell it!), pruned a climbing rose rather drastically, and after a snack and :cuppa: are about to give the passion flower a good trimming...
(mind you, I'd rather be sitting in the sun with a book!)

Car hoovered, the bloody seeds were blowing back in quicker than I could hoover them up, not sure what they are but they are everywhere, pattern at the minute is
- hoover car - put hoover away - walk back to car - discover shoes are now covered in them - step into car - inside of car is now covered in them - hoover car - repeat

@sackville d this is Izzy from TIA. A very typical 'Honcho' hound although her non racing career didn't match that bloodline. She'd been with TIA nearly 4 years when she won us over.

Don't seem to be able to add images to your profile page
