A friend's daughter grounded herself yesterday as she had been naughty and went upstairs for an additional self-imposed punishment while mum, dad and little(r) sister were watching a DVD. My friend went up to use the loo a while later and discovered loads of hair in the sink. Turns out the punishment was boring and she'd decided to cut her hair with nail scissors instead.
Oh well, I won't get to read all the posts then. Not that I can even find the thread any more.
A first for me: I've had a thread locked, with bonus points for wondering why! No trophy for that, alas. Boo.
Same here. And I'm not saying I've got into a comfortable routine or anything, but a couple of months ago I went in one morning and got told off: apparently, my regular appearance on a Thursday afternoon means that the day and the week are nearly over. Turning up on a Tuesday morning is, I know now, just teasing.
I have just done that. I woke with a start at the noise from my neighbours DIY so I have just made tea and am about to find my place again and finish this particular Le Carre offering.I'm going to curl up on the sofa with a book. And by that, I mean I am going to fall asleep and lose my place.
