Rough guess it's about 30 miles from you going through Twycross http://www.melbournehall.com/visitors-find-us

On the route planner it comes up as 31 miles direct. Its in cycle range, but will need some work on the route. It looks like somewhere to go with my Good Lady in the car on a warm summers day.

The Cloud Trail goes nearby, starts just the other side (for you) of Whitwick/Coalville.

EDIT - NCN 52 then NCN 6 would be my route to Melbourne.
