Today is the first day in months that the butter has not been easy to spread

I have just uncovered a legal cycle route to Aldi on the Old Kent Road passing only one traffic light. This is after recently discovering I could cycle to LiDL at the other end of the Old Kent Road with only one traffic light. And looking at google view I think I can get to a big Asda in the middle of the OKR with no lights whatsoever. I'm tempted to go there even though I don't really need to buy anything.

I'd agree with you 99% of the time. However, my daughter needs something that they stock and she's as unlikely to go there as you are. But it's not urgent so I might simply have another coffee instead.
On the other hand, there's a rather good Italian café on the way and it's just about warm enough to sit outside for a drink. Hmm, I have some thinking to do...

Bargain.Two weeks ago while mooching in Sainsbugs,i saw a winter mens coat.Make Tuc their own brand i think.Anyway i liked it,so i decided to buy it.I thought i had better get Mrs Postman to check it over,because the last coat i bought at M & S was too short in the arms.So today while doing our weekly shop,we had a look.She liked it,so we bought it.What a surprise,it was tagged at £45 but there is a sale on,also the wife gets staff discount,final price £30 plus a few pennies.Pleased is a word i can think of.

I appear to have survived the week in my new role. All indicators are red. I can only go one way!

Thwarted in my traffic light avoidance strategy. I had to walk about 50 yards to get to Asda without passing one. Also thwarted by them not having what I was looking for - it's only click and collect available. Coffee at Festa sul prado* was good though.

*there are times when Deptford forgets what it's like.
