We discovered why the little boy didn't want to go to the beach a little bit later. Although the boy was wearing a wet suit type costume he was feeling cold as it was very windy, once his mum had put his pullover on he was as happy as a sand boy.

An inshore lifeboat has just gone out with flashing blue lights on in a hurry, I'm assuming it's not a practice.
