Currently sat in my hotel room, on my "summer" holiday to Kefalonia.......Been here for 3 days so far and it's rained solidly for 2 of them, endured the worst thunderstorms I've ever experienced during the night. There is another 1 rumbling away at the moment and they are forecast to last for the next 5 days. Well at least I'm not at work!



Reports of roads being washed away and the capital (Argostoli) is under water.

I have ordered one of Georges Simenon books in the Maigret series, in French. It is the story that I watched last night, so I will at least know the basics of the plot.

We spent the morning walking round a prehistoric copper mine, impresive place, more so considering they dug it out with bone and stone tools. We've also been on a couple of trams.
