Somewhere, a dung beetle is checking out a volume or two in the library, looking for the creature that s#1ts peanut butter and jam sandwiches.

This fellow has been putting some color in my garden. He also decorates his web with zigzag patterns so we are sure to see it, and not disturb.

Never tried those to be honest. We don't go very often but when we do we eat in as it is a bit of a journey to get there then back and we usually go into Decathalon as well so as it is a full day we need to eat.

Morning. It's 40th Welding Anniversary Day today.

I must say that my view on life seems to have altered a lot since yesterday. I would normally be looking out of the window onto a grassy play area surrounded by houses but today there are waves crashing against rocks. Either the water levels have risen drastically or we have moved. It is the latter, we are staying in a small holiday cottage. Small in both senses of the word, a short stay and the cottage is small being cheese shaped, not Edam or Gouda but normal off the shelf cheese. At the sharp end I can raise both arms and touch the walls.

A vole ran into my living room a short while ago. Idiot Dog was useless so I had to chase it out myself. Oh, and I discovered this morning that spiders don't like it if you shove your phone in their face to take a photo.

I have voles running around my house quite often. Usually a Ginger Ninja is following closely.

Update on the mouse behind the dresser that Henry bought in yesterday at stupid o'clock. The Hops report that Henry flushed it out after I had retired and @hopless500 managed to prise it from him eventually.

Old digital camera much better at that. I have the old Olympus C725 Ultrazoom, which I used for this morning's picture. $4 in garage sale.
