We are returned from the seaside. Time to chill for the weekend, this holidaying and having fun stuff is quite exhausting.

I quite agree, currently sitting in the garden room watching the birds flying low on a beautiful summer evening.

There may be a glass of something Italian and cold next to me and there may be something French in the kitchen breathing and no it's not Gerard Depardieu:giggle:.

There I am sat in Costa thinking I will see if I can stretch my ride home to about 10 miles as it is quite pleasant this evening. Phone goes, it is daughter, 'you know you are the most epic Mum in the whole wide world, please can you take me to Risborough to a party? Pleasssseeeee, pleeeaaassseeee?' How could I say no?

Ride cut short, now off in car, may be able to get out when I get back. Kids are great...Honest.

I just watched the new BBC series, a crime thriller called New Blood. It got me curious because it was about 2 detectives and the video image was of the two walking through the Greenwich Foot Tunnel, one with a road bike. Then I got confused because the first bike in the programme had disk brakes (with some highly illegal pavement racing) and the second was calliper brakes. Then I realised it was the other detective preparing his bike for a triathlon. So, bikes in a crime thriller - the world's changing!

Ooo i will have a look. Cannot see anything else on tonight. I am bird watching with the French one. It's not growing on me yet.
Thank goodness the Crit D starts this weekend. I love this build up to the TdF:hyper:
