After a lovely few days away, I'm on the train back to Manchester. Miss K has looked after me very well. We've been acquiring more culture this morning at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery followed by Birmingham Cathedral. Beautiful sunshine. Finished of with an awesome brunch.
The train guard's announcements are amusing. He referred to Wolverhampton station as 'Wolverhampton - Nil'. Stafford was over emphasised because he'd been in trouble last week for not mentioning it enough.

My Fuji commuter is hiding from me in the garage. It doesn't want to have the suspension seatpost removed, I'm sure. I see no reason for a steel bicycle to need a suspension seatpost. The minute I get it to the right height, it sinks down and I am pedaling like a frog. If I raise it high enough for it to arrive at the correct height, I have to throw myself into the saddle while standing on the pedals. It's like some sort of demented circus act, that. Fenders/mudguards and a rack will get scrounged and applied this weekend.

We all have a different system for hanging out the washing. I like to hide the smalls on the inside - for modesty! Then the socks get used to fill the gaps on the end of each section of line. My OCD is matching the coloured pegs to the item. Miss K has no patience with any of that.
That is what I mean above, Him indoors' mum has to match her pegs too

I put the smalls innermost too:okay: though as everyone has them I don't know why! And only one neighbour can see our washing line. I don't match up socks though....

I think i may just have found heaven.

Cottage is beautiful and enormous. If the owners didn't live in the farmhouse on site we could have organised a huge get together.

All i can hear are the birds and the bees. Time for a glass of something cold on the terrace.
Sounds blissful. Him Indoors has just phoned using some very very bad swear words. He will not make it home tonight as he has been stuck on the M25 for 3 hours and will run out of driving time :cursing:
