You do know there are hills around there don't you?Jo has very kindly sent me a "cake map" of some of her tried, tested and recommended cake stops around the cottage i have rented.and i have a recommended pub about 4 minutes from my front door.
I think i am going to have to do some serious cycling to justify this.

Friday i am going to a Funeral,at Lawnswood,where we said goodbye to dear Vernon.The chap in question is a former Postman/Driver.Way way back in Jan 1972 he had the task of giving me three days tuition before i was let loose with my own bag of mail,and my own area.Thanks Colin,R.I.P. old mate.I bet there has been a lot of laughter up there with your old mates,espesh Tony Thorpe,the banter you two had was brilliant.

At least you had the sense to take it with you. People always used to look at me in madness when I went and got my inhalers, coat, house keys, work keys (same key ring) and coffee when the fire alarm went off at my last place. It actually got to the point in the end that other staff members would do the same. We would then sit outside and have a break/lunch accordingly and wait for the entire school to have a head count before we were all allowed back into any building... Don't miss it in the slightest.
