I'm more surprised nobody posted this

We're too old.

I had salmon and salad cream sandwiches and then went out for a ride on the Carlton, it was easier to fit a front wheel and saddle to it than to fix another cycle. That plastic imitation leather saddle is rock hard compared to my Brooks leather one. We guessed that we had cycled 20 miles as the mileometer wasn't working, it told the time and temperature but not the distance. We arrived at that distance from aching muscles, time taken , and a bit of rounding up.

Oh you sparked a memory. As a child I went to Jersey, and nearly every day, I ordered chicken salad, with salad cream. I was hooked after trying it.

There's a hole in my sock:ohmy:
A hole appeared in my jeans pocket today. Luckily I still had my socks over the bottom of the leg (cycling casually, you see) and I recuperated 4 pound coins and 2 fifties from around my ankles. The money remaining in my pocket was exactly 99p. (I only know this because once I'd emptied the sock money I checked what was still in my pocket.) With a hole in my sock I might have been collecting money from my shoes.
