I think you may need a new reed, the boy played the clarinet in his early teens and we were forever buying new reeds to make it sound half decent.

Making it sound was an achievement in itself!

It looks like it could be a female Blackbird. You sometimes find them slightly lighter in colour and see a spotted front.

I didn't get to go to the seaside. I discovered that the electrician is coming tomorrow to do some work, so I have been trying to make a bird box type thing to take an extractor fan for the shower and also tile it. There has been an awful lot of muttering going on. Somebody had better not try to stop me next time.

Most likely a baby blackbird. And yes they are thrushes.
Song or missel thrush has a paler breast.
