We are celebrating. Just been to Hertford and back. 37.5 miles. It's the first time Mrs R has cycled that distance since March 2014 when she injured her neck and broke both arms.

Just back from a quick cycle to Sainsburys. Glorious sunshine all the way,quick shower as i came out then back to lovely sunshine.Bit cooler out there though.

This time last week i was sitting in the gardens of Hop Towers Norfolk painting along with @hopless500. It was an awful lot warmer.

Lunch first then admiring ceramics this afternoon.

Just got home from a 6 mile run with the fragrant MrsP along the Thames path from Culham to Abingdon and back. Stopped halfway for an ice cream, I had an oyster shell with flake and raspberry sauce. I feel a bit naughty.

I have finally surfaced and am sitting on the sofa waiting for the tea to brew, TVC is still snoozing, this has been a long hard week and don't want another like it. Off to the cinema this evening

Gad, we only let them do that at Christmas around here. I have, from time to time, been beset by Episcopalian and Presbyterian bagpipers, though. And fife and drum, of course.

l bought a clarinet at an auction, I've fancied one for ages, not that I am musical. The school trusted me with using a triangle.

Seeing as I'm in a good mood, this is especially for you.......


I think you may need a new reed, the boy played the clarinet in his early teens and we were forever buying new reeds to make it sound half decent.
