I've never heard of Pluck's Gutter and I'm sure I'd remember the name if I'd ever heard it. But if you ever plan this trek on a sunny day, I'd be happy to join you.

Can't confirm the weather but this really does sound like the formation of a plan.

Normally I am a vintage* or lbv man but this was allegedly nigh-on half price.

*and I've no decanter here.

I generally buy Warrs Optima however i am partial to a nice Tawney and fromage selection.

Talking of sandwiches and beer. We are off to a 60th birthday party at a working mens club. Given the venue and the home patch of most of the people going, it could get like a scene from Shameless. We will not be stopping long.

My computer and phone have stopped talking to each other, the only way I could download the pictures from the mornings trip to the park was by E-Mail. I'll have to try a new cable then see how we do. My camera is fine so it looks like its a phone problem.

It turns out birthday boy has six brothers and four sisters. Most turned up and sat on seperate tables with their respective families, little communication between each. I've never been in a room of 200 people where everyone looked alike.
Everything went along fine until there was a proper fist fight in the gents between two old blokes and the atmosphere changed, babies were put back in their buggies and galloping children were rounded up. Lu and I did a quick dirty dance infront of our workmates and left.

As I said, Shameless. Fun none the less.

After a lengthy study of the Screwfix catalogue, I realise that my potential DIY plastering epic (all of nine square metres) would cost at least £60 in extra tools.
Riding down the river this evening, it all came into focus.
I just can't be arsed. I'll call in a "professional", and will probably regret it shortly thereafter.
