I'm catching up with the garden this afternoon, lawn mowed and borders tidied out the front, I'm just about to start out the back.

I made a one of these. In fact, nobody has ever made a one of these before, it's an original. It's about 6 feet tall and very powerful. Just setting it up for the big test tomorrow, the gizmo (correct tech term) behind it will shoot 325,000 Volts into the top and hopefully none will leak out.

Time to sit on one's ar e.The front garden looks great.All the soil is broken down,edging has set and looks good,not bad for an old fart.Some bushy things are in.Now just to sit back admire what i have managed.The next plants,shrubs or whatever are on Mrs Postman's to buy list.Then it's a few circular paving stones.the centre piece idea got thrown out.then just to bark it allover.i am so glad all the hard work is finished with.I am really chuffed.
I am also throwing in a bike ride on Friday aswell as saturday,whoa.

There was a Science fiction movie called Them, in which Leonard Nimoy had a bit part as an army sergeant. Walt Disney viewed the film. looking for a star for his series Davy Crockett. He was looking at the performance of James Arness, but instead opted for Fess Parker, who was in a small role as an airplane pilot judged insane because he claimed his plane was destroyed by giant flying ants. But James Arness' work was interesting to John Wayne, who recommended him for Gunsmoke. James Arness' brother was Peter Graves, who starred in Mission Impossible. Leonard Nimoy for the last two years of that show, played "The Great Paris", one of the agents who was a master of illusion and disguise. Small world.

I took my head along to see the doc this morning. The scab on top of my head which my wife said looked nasty is the sort which could develop into skin cancer. The doc has given me some cream which may make the skin turn red , so I may look like a match.

I had to cycle to Evans because despite 2 recent visits no one had identified the part that I needed to replace my damaged integrated gear /brake. They had supposedly ordered them twice before. Finally someone peeled back the rubber to find a number!

All that meant that I've had less time in the garden planting out seedlings and plants in the afternoon sunshine. Sweet peas and runner beans are in so far. I'll have to do the pots tomorrow.

First time it's been warm enough to sit still, well kneeling really.
