GrumpyGregry

Here for rides.
In a pleasant or face puckering way?
I like. I have a very sore throat. I'm drinking it for its... ahem... phlegm-loosening properties. And it is highly effective. And the gentle, natural effervescence is deliciously painful.

A side note. I have come to learn here that things which are sweet in Blighty are not (anywhere near as) sweet here. They're not sour or sharp but you are struck by the complete absence of (added processed) sugar. It takes some getting used to, then when you do you get home leave and, shoot, the food in Blighty tastes of nothing but sugar.

Do I need to get the spray plaster out?
Ditto. Caught the sun yesterday. Had to buy a gilet in town today to prevent hypothermia.

 Bloody townies, covering everything in concrete and then wondering why it floods.

My appointment this morning started on time but the anticipated hour turned into two and a half.

At this rate I will run out of portable "work" I shall have to browse some more portable stuff to make... I don't think I would be very welcome at the various places he has appointments this week toting rolls of materials and patterns to cut and a sewing machine

I used to come home from work and watch it, there was a subtle humour way over the heads of children.

Yes it used to be one of my Dad's favourite programs, he used to watch it whilst having his tea.

The case manager came out today. The third party has agreed to fund their involvement, so they are going to chase my consultant for my scan results, have a chat with my physio, contact work about suitable 'furniture' and look into getting me a folding bed for the lounge (I'm still sleeping on the settee). I've also been advised to get some 'slip on' shoes as I'm finding doing my laces tricky, so bought a casual pair and work pair (I feel like an old duffer) and a shoe horn !!

Also popped to the gym tonight, 20 mins on the recumbent bike and 20 mins on the skier.
