It was my eldest sons birthday today, earlier on we had both sons plus our granddaughter visit, now they've gone home and my good lady's gone to bed its awfully quiet in here.

I found myself playing loom darts in the primary school playground the other day. Someone had installed some kind of dartboard on the ground with a ''throw from here'' line. I thought of it as applied arithmetic. And then, purely in the interests of physics, I demonstrated the principles of catapultery. I think I may get barred from the playground soon. This may save the step-granddaughter some embarrassment.

They're banned in all the schools round here because of kids flicking them at each other.
