Just put my back out (20 mins ago) lifting 3 yr old onto the lav.

Now that has got to be the most pathetic excuse i have ever heard

How do you make brownies in a microwave, they can't be as good as a proper oven?

And mundanely, I can't remember the last time I used the microwave.

We managed without a microwave for over 3 years...... and the look on peoples faces when you tell em' they think you're really poor as you can get one for £30 new it just packed and we couldn't be bothered........... we only got another when someone we knew gave us their old one or I wouldn't bothered........ it only ever gets used for popcorn........

How do you get a same day doctors appointment?

That's not mundane news, a same week one's a luxury near us.

Two evenings ago, we went to see the grandaughters. I asked our 9 year old where her loom bands were...
'Where do you think ' she replied In a resigned voice,

Confiscated by dad, she'd left some on the floor against all the rules..her 11 month old sister has to be thought about.
'We did try to warn you '

Shes got them back tonight. By the end of summer, theyll be gone and forgotten, but in the meantime, theyve given the girls and all their friends enormous pleasure . Cheap, harmless fun thats brought kids together..theyre ALL engrossed in them.
