Wearing leather soled shoes on a wet tiled floor, I managed to slip walking into Tesco's and hit my head on one of those yellow "Caution Slippery Surface" signs:cursing: And no, I wasn't wearing a helmet at the time so it didn't save my life.

The jokes from the girls on the checkouts were more painful than the accident itself:surrender:

Without putting the bathroom light on, I tried pouring the mouthwash into its lid whilst sitting on the toilet with my eyes closed... PJs and underwear needed changing afterwards...

This defeated the point of not putting the bathroom light on which had been not too disturb my husband who is sleeping in the sitting room at the moment because I then had to call for help in changing my clothes in the middle of the night... (The bathroom light triggers the extractor fan and the bathroom is directly over the sitting room... Still calling for help is easy)

He's been there since I ruptured a disk in my back leaving me bedbound. I don't sleep particularly well (pain, drugs being taking at all hours) and can't negotiate the stairs without assistance, so i have pretty much lived out of the bedroom since the disk ruptured, other than a brief spell in hospital for an operation. He gets the sitting room so he actually gets some sleep.

Gritters have been along my street and pavement. That's a first for a long time. Usually we don't see them round here until the snow has nearly gone of its own accord.
