As an it engineer :becool:, the test I was referring to was that it was of some use after going through all of that. Backups are useless unless tested... And I hate incremental backups
Go and get some sleep! Life may make more sense tomorrow :whistle:
I agree, testing is important. I've spent my whole working life either as a software engineer or v&v (aka 'test') engineer. I work for a large company that builds air traffic control systems, and we work with millions of lines of C/C++, Ada and Java code, linked by JNI and similar interface libraries. We do thorough testing at the code development, integration and system levels, because of the importance of the systems we build. You may have noticed from all of this that I enjoy my job! I'm still on holidays, but couldn't resist writing 2 apps in C++ the last few weeks, a desktop background randomiser, and an OpenGL screen saver.

It's so warm outside that i've turned the heating way down and i'm sat here in shorts and t shirt!:heat:

It's 28°C inside and 35°C outside (and still getting hotter), so I've turned my aircon from low to high.
The desktop PC's still only on about 33°C though, so it's OK for now.

Imagine riding a bike up those hills you have in 95F!:heat:
I'll be riding in the Alpine Classic in just over 3 weeks. That will be 200km in a day, with 4000m climbing. The temperatures in the valleys will quite possibly reach about 40°C and the mountain tops will vary, but should be anywhere from about 20 to 30+, depending on the weather up there. If I get some decent photos from it, I'll post them in the CC members' travelogues sub-forum.

It's now 29.5 in and 38.5 out, a real scorcher. I've just been sitting in front of the PC doing some C++ coding, because it's a bit hot to be outside today.

It's 29.9 in and 37.6 out. The upcoming overnight minimum temperature is predicted to be 27, with a maximum of 41 tomorrow. Not my favourite weather. Throw some blizzards my way, puh'lease.

 It's been over 29°C in and over 37 out, for 4 hours now, despite the airconditioner working overtime.
I feel like  and would like to take the :sun: and :gun: it.
