Chapeau to United Autosports for winning the LMP2 class - Olly Jarvis and Richard Dean deserve every good thing that comes to them. Such a shame their two GT3 McLarens didn't finish.

And a heads up to IDEC Sport who were third in LMP2 - their team gaffer is a chap I know quite well through our mutual time involved in the ASCAR series back in the day.

Iron Dames did good too, finishing 5th in class - they *were* leading GT3 at one point, but lost track position during the rash of yellows and safety cars just before half distance.

Finally, hats off to the #77 Proton Competition car for never giving up after the front end rebuild.

And the gods of motor racing saw fit to dispense justice to the #83 Ferrari after a far-too-lenient penalty for ending the race of the #15 BMW. Vanthoor was just minding his own business when Kubica just wiped him out.

It’s a shame - I was rooting for the plucky underdog #83 until they wiped out Vanthoor (and brought out nearly 90 minutes of safety car).

My tenuous connection was to #99 as I’ve spent time with Harry Tincknell a couple of times. They had a torrid time though.

It was a good race though and so close right to the end, in all three categories.

That was just such an unnecessary incident. Of course, it's never easy passing lapped cars, as some parts of the circuit are narrow / there's only one line, and the speed differential is scary (I was watching the onboard live feed from the Iron Dames GT3 car), but that just looked like a complete brain fade from Kubica - almost as if he didn't know where the corners of his car were.

And then when you listened in to his radio transmission, he ended up blaming a GT3 car for getting in the way.

The stewards didn't buy it - the footage (TV and onboard) and the GPS kiboshed that particular excuse.

Will Sainz finally announce who he will be driving for this weekend?

Rumours are Williams , Alpine or Sauber which Turn into Audi in 2026 so unlikely that we will be watching him at the front of Gp's next year.

Jos the Toss is throwing his teddies again.

Apparently hes through with Horner. Again.

In response Horner, uncharacteristically, saying very little, to the effect of you'll have to ask Jos what his problem is.

In some ways it must surely be a blessed relief if Max went to Mercedes and took his tit of a Father with him. Toto isn't the strongest of personalities and his buttons are easy to punch so Jos would have endless fun being a PITA over there.

Jos the toss up to his usual self centred shenanigans.
