I trust the repairs to your undercarriage are proceeding at a satisfactory pace Mr.Budgie?

I have just had a PM from someone waiting to join.

Is the Moriarty Variation valid and are all reverse plays illegal?

Difficult one because it would make an elongated float from Edgware impossible.

I'll try a straightforward crosscourt backpass to

Mansion House

I believe that NF Stovold's much vaunted Mornington Crescent: Rules and Origins has within its pages an allowance for such a criteria as you mention.

However if my research is correct the Rushton-Garden (1993 Game 14) clearance sacrifice gives a useful parry to the reverse play when the legendary Hammersmith Jink is played but only when the preceding move is the elongated float.

Just the chance I was waiting for ...

When Edware Road has been played
And it is a Leap Year with Boxing Day on a Friday
And the Monday Night Extension (rule 501 ParaIV, subsection ii) is invoked
Plus the Overseas Connection Regulation is applied
AND the Bi-Lateral Subtlety Gambit is used ...

That allows me to play ...

Berlin Hauptbahnhoft!!!

Poo..... false start rule applies, hangs head in shame, more repairs....... now where is that f00kin' blacksmith
