How do you answer that?
70 years later I still don't know.

I used to work with a Welsh guy named Dave. For him "now" meant "some time in the future, probably." I don't know if that was a Dave-ism or a Welsh thing.

"I'll do it now" meant "I'll put it on my list of things to do, and if you're lucky and I don't forget, it will get done within the next week or so"
Very much a Welsh thing.

Alost everybody I know in Wales uses it to mean "soon".

"now in a minute" is the south Wales version. My mum would reply "Not 'now in a minute' NOW!" when I was putting off doing my homework pr bedtime or whatever

I don't go out to stop in.
That was one of my granddad's sayings, meaning he did not want to visit his in-laws.

Children should be seen and not heard.
I did not understand that fully when I was a child.
