Ah, so I don't want to bring tacks?

Are they "go faster" prunes in the cup at the back?

I see you're bringing enough for everyone - that's kind of you.

No, that's the lid of my bottle soaking in cleaning fluid  Gets rid of the taste of plastic!

Please though, leave the pan at home.

Don't worry I will leave the pan at home, for my girlfriend to scrub after I get porridge stuck too it, should keep her busy until I get home

I guess I'm right in thinking that if we are late (post 7:15am) then we won't be waiting as we're unsure of final numbers and some of us don't know each other (is there about 20 of us?)

I will meet you lot at the corner of Rackhouse Road. Will be riding a black Cannondale and wearing a white jersey, so if you see me and I am going past you/wrong direction, give me a shout!

A Minging Manc...
I just got my rider pack out, rider #297 and unless it is pee'in down I will be in my yellow crash test dummy shirt (NO comments from you Potsy thank you very much!) riding my yellow & white GT with matching yellow cable lock in the back pocket. See you all at :scrolls back up thread to check meeting place: Ah yes, post 186 on page 10, on the wide pavement opposite North entrance, I'll be wearing my elasticated waist ready for the cafe stop.

Looking forward to it :hyper:

These guys are not doing the 'official' Manc 100, they are doing a forum ride Manc 100. Same route, same day, same directions but no entry fee
I paid for my entry.I am using the route, planning and marshalling of the official organisers so while they are not a 'not for profit organisation' my sense of honour and decency dictates I pay for the services I am intending to use. Other feel free to do what ever they are comfortable with

Just stumbled on this thread. Wish I had time to join you but have a family outing in Yorkshire planned (which I'm cycling to) then have to prep and pack for the start of the Lon Las Cymru on Monday. Good luck all.

You not coming smokeysmoo? I was expecting to meet you there!
Sorry Pal, I bottled it back at post #98. I've just not got the miles in these past few weeks.

I'm going to head out to Southport and back. Hopefully the weather will hold up and it should clock around 60 miles.

Although I'm half wishing I'd stuck with doing this now that it's about to happen, but I'm not doing this Southport ride alone, there'll be about 6 of us, and I've kind of organised it, ergo gotta be there.

Sorry Rob, but I know it's not really me you really wanted to see, it's my CAAD isn't it ;)

Ride safe

My back is miles better today so if it stays like that, i'll see you all at 7

I'm afraid my drivetrain might be a little noisy. Needed to do some fettling today but ended up finishing off a restore job on a 1960's bike, shame I can't ride that one really
