Thanks. Still not getting it though. The context in which I've heard it is test data. We would normally use extracts from live for this. But there's a EU directive about to take effect which would effectively prevent this. So we will now have to pseudonymise the data so individuals can't be identified. But how is that different from obfuscating the names of the individuals?obfuscate
