Weather is great. Loads of nutty cars, tricycles and a couple of buses and a fire engine for good measure.

Well, that was fun!
Cold to start with - my fault for pitching up at ECR way too early - but things generally got bouyed up and off we set.
How many? 10? 12? I didn't count - but is was something of that ilk - good company with one or two new faces.
As is usual at this event a very good atmosphere prevailed for those watching as well as those participating.
Those who were wondering what happened to us at the end (no, I know none of you cared :P) We ended up in a chippy to the West of the pier in the direction of the observation platform - which I'd never seen before - just shows you how long it is since I was last in Brighters.
We being Danielle (she made us do it) David, Top Cat, Dan and your humble reporter.
Thanks to all for the good company - no rain until 1 mile before home.

ETA - Spotted on today's ride:
Ordinary bicycle x 3
Marcos x 2 (one of them looked like it was very recently made)

Did anyone stop to chat to the guys dressed in kilts with a leopard skin draped across the bonneter of their Rolls Royce? They were very amusing.

slowmotion

Quite dreadful
Location
lost somewhere
That was great fun. I ended up at the back after the coffee break so I just followed the cars to the A23 and asked a policeman at the BP garage how to get on the cycle path that leads to Brighton next to the northbound carriageway. A friendly local in Brighton told me about a sneaky route to the pick-up/drop-off spot next to the station and I was homeward bound. Danielle and User10571 were in the same carriage.

We were blooming lucky with the weather. I got a complete "biblical" in the 25 minutes between Clapham Junction and home.
Right, time for some "OMG Blah Blah 06.11 FM".

Dull chapter No.1
I slept about 3 hours. Yes I know I've got too much brain so I keep thinking and even sleeping tablet cannot switch me off.
4.30 am, feel quite alive.
5.35 am, I'm already at the pick up point waiting for driver  and thinking "wtf I'm doing here, it's COLD !!!" So while I was waiting I took a pic of myself, my bike, got cold, thought again that I'm idiot, got a bit warmer, got an argument with a bird (I won), got really cold, watched the sky getting brighter. Yeeaah, here he is, the driver! God bless the person who invented heating in a car. Mmmm.

Dull chapter No.2
I'm really crap in remembering names. And faces. So we met @Fab Foodie & Co., at East Croydon train station met more Co., and more ...
The rest of my ride was swinging among cars, other CChat people, cars again ... Remebered why I hate hills (ok ok, I've done only one of .... eeee ..... some).

Final.
Caught train at Crawley (my knees is my excuse). I'm writing this blah blah now and it's raining. I'm getting old and totally pampered. There were days when I was cycling at -11'C and more and didn't complain.

p.s. thank you @Fab Foodie for that pic with me and Dan. It helped me to realise that I will not sink in any water pond with those 2 lifebuoys on my belly.

Ausra, It was good to have seen you on the ride.
I hope you'll come on some more.
Are they? Thank you then! (I actually think they're ... just photos).

By the way, almost all way to the start point I was thinking: are there any similarities between real @slowmotion and CChat @slowmotion. conclusion - nope!
Well, now that you've met -- not just some lovely CC'ers but some lovely CC'ers who happen to also be lovely FNRttC peeps -- I hope you'll come out on a Friday Night Ride to the Coast next year!
