Ordered this set today: http://www.candb-seen.co.uk/bikehead-lights/commuter-kit.html
Coming home a week or so ago,it was already getting borderline re:light requirement. Two week night club runs to consider, anything could happen that could result in running out of daylight.
http://www.candb-seen.co.uk/accessories/fitting-your-diffuser-lens.htmlBe interested to hear how you get on with those. Was looking at the "commuter kit" but thought the beam without any modification would be a bit MTB ish
Ye I've been thinking about doing that if I got one of the similar lights. Coupled with a hood and if you were struggling a tiny bit of black tape at the very top of the lens, you could be onto a winner ala Philips safe ride with decent battery life

Last night got in at 10:15pm after a 4 hour club ride. Just had a cheapo front light as i thought i would be okay. Near pitch darkness on back roads and dodgy descents! Bad planning. Won't be caught out next week.Ordered this set today: http://www.candb-seen.co.uk/bikehead-lights/commuter-kit.html

Neither will I I needed lights on sunday AFTERNOON! Very dark, overcast and pishing it down with crap visibility. Luckily the 4 of us who ride to club meeting point together, all live less than a mile apart and we were on the only cycle path in the town for the worst of it (and that was towards home)Last night got in at 10:15pm after a 4 hour club ride.
