Had a driving lesson at 9pm on Sunday

It was dark and peeing it down - yet there were 4 cyclists I saw and3 were dressed as ninjas without lights

This morning on the ride in at 7 it was dark - non of the 3 commuters I saw had lights

No excuse at all really when you can get a pair of "that'll do" lights for under a tenner and alkaline batteries in bulk from various High Street sources.

My rears were £2 each from deal extreme and boy do they light me up

I just don't get why people take the risk - Sunday was especially moronic given the weather too

There was a ninja at about 8pm last night on the A56 in Stretford and on his phone.

Crazy.

Cars too. I'm seeing numerous each day that don't have lights on, this is around 6:20pm when it's getting dark. Grrr!

On my way into work both yesterday and today, passed about four ninja cyclists using the pavement, and the couple I saw on the road, whilst not true ninjas, had rubbish lights that I could only see when on top of them and no hi vis.

I have seen 30 page threads on high viz....ninjas dont do high viz and will argue quantum physics that it makes bugger all difference . Indeed I may open a high viz thread just for the hell of it.

Some people are getting caught out at the moment

Yesterday I stopped off at a shop with no rear light (I always have the magicshine on flash in the day on the trike) and when I came out it was dark enough to need lights - I wasn't expecting that

Its a good job I was coming out of the shop with 2 brand new Smart Lunar 1w lights then...ripped the packaging straight open and slotted them on
