I got contacted over the weekend on faceache if I knew anyone that might be interested in a bike that had just been unearthed in a shed .

So once I saw a picture I said yes please and have just collected it .

It's an R.E.W Reynolds that looks to have been made by Woodrup but just waiting for confirmation on that .


Looks like original condition with a nice seat cluster full 531 tubing , sloping fork crown .

10 speed gearing 27" wheels and large flange hubs what's not to like ?

New tyres , a couple of cable clips , and a clean should see it .

Thanks, still learning. I'll contact Woodrup once the bike's cleaned up some more and see if they have any records.

@biggs682 - Woodrup's have replied and the frameset was built by Stephen Woodrup in late 1999. So newer than I originally thought.

That's good then.
That also means that each of the frame builders there stamp the 4 digit number in a different location on the bottom bracket shell.

Another 35 miles completed this morning, first outing for a few weeks as been using my Galaxy mostly.

Dragged this one out yesterday and gave it quick once over so I could use it today and it still rides well .

Had another outing on this fine machine this morning just a shame it wasn't a ride where man and machine were in perfect harmony I struggled today with the fear shifts yet yesterday it was in harmony.

This was my chosen bike for today's 37 miles.

Commited sacralige this morning by fitting a plastic bottle cage to this bike as my metal drinks bottle rattled annoyingly on yesterday's ride so first job before going out on this one again today was to change the carrier.
At least today's 33 miles were one rattle less
