It has nothing to do with anything other than comfort and affordability which was the point I was making.
Most people would have got that without the non essential references though. If anything, actually detracted from the point you were making.

I added "looking good" just for you youngoldbloke which is obviously more of a priority for you than it is for me as I look good/stylish in whatever I wear/^_^

My (15 y.o.) son came up with a good take on wearing kit like the pros.... made me laugh anyway.
He came downstairs this morning ready for his Sunday ride with his mates wearing the new (non-team) jersey we bought him for his birthday and LONG BLACK SOCKS.

I have a Brioches la Boulangere team shirt. Not because I followed the team nor even particularly liked the shirt (though it was one of the better ones imo) but because it amused me to have a pastry shop sponsoring a pro team! And, more to the point, I thought it apt for me.

Wear what you frikkin' well like. Matters not a jot what others may think. And if teams didn't want you wearing their shirts they wouldn't sell them.
