I have been looking to get more kit, and searched and found team sky kit at good prices on amazon. From searching seems that wearing specific team kits frowned upon, but what's the cc take on it?

Odd how cycling has this [stuck up] attitude towards wearing replica team kit, whereas in other sports it's accepted as a show of support.

If anyone seriously thinks you are a pro-cyclist from what you wear, then they must think that fat bloke in the football shirt in the pub is really David Beckham.

Not quite the same. Besides I think any sport should pay us for the advertising not the other way round. I am happy in anything that fits, is comfy and is usually visible in bad conditions. I am not usually keen on multi coloured garments cycling or otherwise, it's in the name really.

I mostly sport Team Aldi kit  The only short sleeved top I currently have is my MacRide top and people do jib me about wearing that...but I don't care. There's a guy on this site who has a full on spiderman kit! If it motivates you to get out then do it I say...personally I've no money for fashion...it's all about function to me.

These threads just make me want a jersey which is quarter poker dot, quarter yellow, quarter green and quarter world champ so so much.
If people are going to get upset about what I wear, I want to offend them all at he same time.

I also find it a little creepy. Grown men looking at other grown men in lyrca and deciding if he looks good or needs a make over, its all a bit 'Gok Wan' to me

I bought one of these when I first got my road bike, when tobe honest, i was very Clueless as to the full meaning of the stripes. Bought it as I have a bianchi and liked the shirt. Now I know exactly what the strips are for, I'll still wear it as it's a fantastic jersey. In no way am I belittlening those pros that have been world champ.

I have no problem buying jerseys like this again as I am yet to find any jersey Which i think a) looks as nice or b) is as comfortable to wear

Most pro kit looks shoot anyway, why would you want to wear it, lol

I am thankful that my club has nice kit, because I would hate to feel duty bound to wear the monstrosities many club cyclists wear!
